Nutrition Information
At the end of each entrée description, you'll find nutrition information made up of some numbers and letters. These are the calorie, fat and carb estimates for each dish.

"C" stands for Calories and is the first number. This number will be handy for people who are counting calories on their diet. A 2,000 calorie per day diet is what's recommended for the average American. To help put this in perspective for you, generally a weightloss program will recommend about 1,200, 1,500, or 1,800 calories per day, depending on certain information such as your gender, age, exercise routine, etc.

"F" stands for Fat and is measured in grams of fat. This number is handy for people who are on a low fat diet or people who are on Phase One or Two on The South Beach Diet, for example. Most of our dishes are low in fat, anyway, with fat ranging around 10-15 grams or so. Generally (but definitely not always), if you see a dish that is higher in fat, it probably comes from olive oil where we used it in a sauce or marinade.

"Cb" stands for Carbs, or what's been referred to as "Net Carbs," which is the carb count after subtracting out so-called good carbs, such as fiber and sugar alcohol. These are measured in grams as well. This is especially helpful for people on low-carb diets such as The South Beach Diet or the Atkins Diet.

Sometimes we show nutrition counts for variations of a dish. For example, if a chicken dish is available with dark meat or white meat, we'll show you the counts for each variation.

Generally, a serving of meat (beef, pork, chicken, fish, etc.) will be about ½ pound (uncooked weight) in our dishes. If the meat in a dish shares the spotlight with other ingredients, such as "Chicken & Butterbeans" or "Chicken Toscana with Cannelini Beans", the measurement of the meat will be reduced to about 6 oz. Some may consider a serving of this size to be almost double what one would consume in one sitting. In which case, you're in luck: you get to chop the nutritional counts in half!

If you would like to specify smaller portion sizes for your dishes, please let us know in the "Special Instructions for the Chef" box beneath the menu items.
